This place deserves the best of Humboldt taco and burrito awards they have. I read the reviews saying the staff were rude but when me and my mother went there on our trip the staff made us feel right at home. The chip basket and drinks were kept full and the food was the best I've had at any Mexican resturant I've been to . I had to stop by on the way back home to get more. If I'm ever in the area again I'll make sure to stop by for another meal.

Great food and great service! If you haven't tried it, you are missing out on the best Mexican restaurant in Humboldt county.

Food has always been good. Unfortunately when we were there last year the people in the kitchen were cussing and using very rude language and we could hear. Very unprofessional. They apologized and were laughing as they were speaking to us like it was a joke to them. We never went back.

Great Mexican food in Arcata. I do like other places a bit more, but this is the best in Arcata by far. Good food at reasonable prices and a super friendly staff. It's a little hidden, but well worth looking for.

Just the fact that I have been to La Barca 7 times tells you that I like this restaurant. Food is good & has ample portions. Price is affordable. Really like the self-serve salsa bar.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I like how the customer service is always good and they keep the spot well kept all the time. Pricing is affordable and they serve large portions.

Just the atmosphere, plus I've seen them rise from the little push cart.

When I went it was empty except for a really creepy guy. The food was ok, but there are 3 places in walking distance that are at least as good, if not better.

Awesome food and people! Great little Mexican food spot tucked away off Giuntoli. Our go to spot when I don't feel like cooking, or we are having a taco craving =) Kid friendly and they have a few tables outside. Fresh Jamaica (other drinks too)! So yummy!!!

It was ok. definitely not worth the $26 for a burrito, carne asada fries and a drink... especially the small portion of fries and how there was no cheese because it was microwaved to the bottom of the take away box, and maybe had a tablespoon of Asada. burrito was good, just stay away from the carne asada fries.

The food is always delicious here. They do egg battered Chile rellenos, and their carnitas is the best in town. They shred the pork, then crisp it up on the grill. The portions are generous here as well.

The food was not very well seasond and the chicken taco simply had a bad flavor. Tongue was good though.

This has become our standard place to meet people for lunch. My favorite is the carnitas lunch.

Best Mexican food in Humboldt County in my opinion. Their taco truck on Myrtle Ave. in Eureka is pretty good too. It's a small restaurant, very clean and inviting. The food is excellent. They have homemade tortillas, quality meat, and a variety of authentic sauces. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are reasonable. Absolutely satisfying.

Sooooo yummy! Especially the fire sauce! My only gripe is the prices are too high but I'm sure the nice people working there make a good living.

Don’t know how I managed to go so long without eating here, but I’m glad I finally did. The regular Al Pastor tacos were incredible, especially with the hot salsa. Best tacos I’ve had in the whole area.

Best Carnitas in the area

Food was very authentic. Ingredients were fresh. Service was decent. Only thing missing was avocado, or else I would have given 5 stars.

Good food, awesome freshly made salsa, and nice staff make this place somewhere I will be coming back too. Portions are big too, so be warned.

Good, salty, fairly cheap food. My husband loves their meat he loves a lot of seasoning. Nice atmosphere.
